Cabot, Vermont, is where we started back in 1919. There’s a lot of history to discover at our Visitors Center – that is, when you are not busy trying to decide on your new favorite cheddar.
We stocked the store with all of our products, from sour cream, dips and everyday classics to our most limited-edition cheddars. You’ll find an extensive selection of Vermont specialty products too.
As of January 1, 2018, the Visitors Center in Cabot will no longer be offering creamery tours.*
*Your continued dedication to our products and our farms means we are making more of the ‘World’s Best Cheddar’ than ever. We have reached a point where tours are no longer feasible in our cheesemaking areas. While this is disappointing to all involved, it is a necessary step to ensure food safety standards and our personal commitment to product quality can be met on a daily basis.
The Visitors Center WILL remain open for Cabot cheese sampling and purchases, as well as an opportunity to check out a full array of artisan Vermont products. We will also be offering a video tour of the cheesemaking area, (actually MORE up close than the walking tour!), as well as a look at the history of the co-op. This will be offered at no charge. Again, we are so grateful for your support of our farm family owners, our products, and our employees. We consider it a true privilege that you bring Cabot into your home and we hope you will still visit us to sample cheese, experience the video, and chat with our wonderful staff.
